When others say no, We say yes!!!
We have been building and repairing foundations and basements for over 85 years, we know it is all about the water. Water is the cause of all the pressure on your foundation walls, both basement and crawlspace. It is astounding what the force of water will do over time, the weight of the water-soaked soils around your foundation will cause the walls to crack and shift and then force a wall to eventually fail and collapse.

As the seasons change, so do the maintenance needs of your home’s basement and foundation.
During the wet season, it’s important to be proactive in preventing water damage and foundation issues. This can include installing or repairing sump pumps, ensuring proper drainage away from the foundation, and sealing any cracks or gaps in the foundation. Waterproofing measures may also be necessary, such as installing a waterproof membrane or coating on the exterior of the foundation walls. Taking these steps can help prevent water from seeping into your basement, causing damage to your home’s structure and potentially leading to organic growth.
During the dry season, it’s a good time to inspect your home’s foundation for any signs of damage that may have occurred during the wet season. This can include checking for cracks in the foundation walls or floors, as well as any signs of settling or shifting. Addressing these issues promptly can help prevent further damage and ensure the stability of your home’s foundation.
Other maintenance tasks may include cleaning gutters and downspouts to ensure proper drainage, and trimming any trees or shrubs that may be encroaching on the foundation.
At KCS, we offer a range of services to help you maintain a strong and stable foundation throughout the year. Whether you need repairs or preventative measures, our experienced technicians can provide the solutions you need to protect your home and your investment. Everything you could ever want in a contractor. Ed came out to give us a quote promptly, confirmed what our structural engineer had told us, and gave us a very reasonable quote for the work. The contractors were punctual to the time they quoted to come out, and were professional, thorough and conscientious. I have so much peace of mind knowing the foundation and structural issues our house was facing have been properly dealt with. We will definitely be using KCS again in the future.
